Our Learning Laboratory for Community Health host a series of Northern Virginia Public Health Case Challenges throughout the academic year. By utilizing problem-based learning, teams will focus on a targeted population health challenge of Northern Virginia communities. These teams will develop and present a solution to a public health issue currently affecting the community. Case study topics are created by community health needs assessments, key informants, and experts from the field by the Learning Lab Graduate Research Assistants. A panel of subject matter expert judges will critique student presentations and choose the most innovative solution for the community health problem.
